is this really free?
Yes. No card required. Sparkies has a paid tier ($4.95/month) for the deeper stuff, full training plans, AI coach, advanced features. The Spark Challenge is free for everyone.
what if i miss a day?
You miss a day. That's it. No reset, no shame spiral. The card shows your real pattern, full days, partial days, missed days. You just pick up tomorrow. The whole point is sustainable, not heroic.
do i have to be a runner?
No. The "move your body" rule includes any movement, walking, yoga, lifting, swimming, anything that counts. Sparkies is built for runners but the challenge works for anyone who wants four small commitments that make them feel like themselves again.
can i start any day?
Yes. Day 1 is the day you sign up. You're not waiting for the next cohort. The 30 days runs from your start date.
what's the catch?
There isn't one. The challenge is the on-ramp. Some people do it, finish, and move on. Some realise they want more structure and join Sparkies properly ($4.95/mo). Both outcomes are fine. The challenge exists because we needed it ourselves.
can i share my progress?
Yes, there's a button to generate a shareable card showing your current day count, your full/partial days, and a grid that fills as you go. Save it to your phone, post it to your story, tag @boltinben if you want a follow back.
